Racing Legends Reunion and Car Show 2013

A great turnout of racecars, drivers and fans brought the lethargic Reading Fairgrounds
Mall back to life from Feb. 24th thru March 2nd.
The variety of racing vehicles ranged from Sport Cars to current modifieds & sprint cars.
The RFRHS had a nice display of photo's, video's and vintage cars along with the popular
model car contest. The # 19 of Randy Werley won the "Best of Show" trophy with Clark Renninger, Richard Kemp and Bob Burd taking 1st thru 3rd respectively.
Vintage cars displayed for the RFRHS were the Bullock # 76 coach, Sheehan # 1 midget
that was a '80 and '81 ARDC Championship car, Lloyd # 10 sprint car, #44 modified coupe,
# 9 flathead, and the Hanchick & Lerch # 44 sedan. Also displayed to advertise our Reading
Fair racing were the Stage 1 Modified, Micro-Sprint, Slingshot and a Go- Kart.
Friday evening was Legends night at center court plus an autograph session at our display and
drivers either taking part or stopping by were, Russ Lewis, Tim Higgins, Red Coffin, Dick Quallio, Bruce Young, Del Bitting, Donnie Eskey, Russ Smith, Whitey Kerschner, Blaine Sadler, Dizzy Dean, Gerald Chamberlain, Aaron Brommer, Don Kreitz Sr., Bobby Braxton,
Glenn Fitzcharles, Ronnie Guinther, Archie Meyers, Jr. Mikosz, Gary Gollub, Don Kreitz Jr.,
Bobby Eppihimer, Gary Wolford, Doug Deeds, Dennis Zerbe, Dick Hauer, mechanic Sammy Reber, owners Marlo Adam and Jack Minnich. Also taking in the show were " The Shillington Slingshot" Kenny Brightbill and Lynn Paxton.
A big thank you to all the drivers, vintage car and small car owners for making the RFRHS
Display a " MUST SEE" spot at the show and to our members for their help setting up, closing
and participation throughout the week.
